Introduction to CPDT Caroline Shedd

Caroline Shedd is a certified professional dog trainer, pet expert and behaviorist. She acquired her first dog at 8 years old of age and by the age of 10 was professionally handling for conformation and titling in obedience and agility.

Caroline went to college at Frostburg State University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in 2010 and quickly realized she belonged back training dogs. And although she had been professionally training dogs for a long time she was officially professionally certified by PETCO as a CPDT in 2011. Since then she has continued her education through attending various seminars with many other trainers to learn new styles and methods so she can remain at the head of the curve with technology and training practices.

In 2011 Caroline opened her own company called Holistic Methods Dog Training, LLC and brought it to a place where it was successful enough to sell in 2014. At that point Caroline was employed with Canine Obedience Unlimited to run agility classes as well as supply obedience training support. When Caroline got her cancer diagnosis and COU moved to Rockville, MD and changed names to Dogizone it became too much to regularly commute and Caroline left the company. Many of Caroline's students have gone on to title in agility, obedience, dock diving and other sports.

For most of the year of 2015 Caroline battled stomach cancer. She feared that due to her treatment schedule and instructions she would not be able to properly care for her dogs and they would need to be re-homed. That is when Invisible Fence Brand changed her life. Brian Murphy with Invisible Fence Brand of Montgomery County sent Technician Graham over to her house to install indoor and outdoor solutions to make managing her dogs through her treatment very simple.

She quickly learned how Invisible Fence Brand solutions can positively change the human and dog relationship and upon going into remission reached back out to Invisible Fence Brand of Montgomery County to offer her support and assistance.
